America’s Future Foundation (AFF) was founded in 1995 with the mission to recruit and cultivate young professionals who will become effective, lifelong advocates for freedom.

In 2014, AFF launched a program to train, mentor and assist emerging writers in becoming advocates for libertarian ideas in the media, being the only program that works with young professionals in their 20s and 30s in the USA.

This proposal looks to scale a successful pilot program and allow more young writers to publish impactful libertarian pieces in a wide variety of publications, including Forbes, The Washington Post, The New York Post, Reason Magazine, etc. The program will pair experienced writers with those new to the field, and it will give specific training and feedback on how to publish regularly in the various media outlets.

The overall number of beneficiaries over the three-year period will be 360 people. AFF’s funnel selection model will ensure that only the most engaged libertarian leaders will receive training. The program will introduce writers to a diverse array of styles and methods. This will include op-eds, news writing, features and interviewing.

Participants will publish 1,500 pieces per year. It is expected that the amount of participants who have articles published will grow from 60% in 2018 to 70% in 2019 and 80% in 2020.
