OUR MISSION

Our philanthropic mission is very close to the heart of our Chairman, who was not only personally impacted by his mother and grandmother’s demise to cancer, but is also deeply rooted in an empowerment philosophy. The Foundation was created with the belief that those who are most vulnerable to critical issues and who are willing and ready to take on responsibility are the most effective agents of change and should contribute as members of society with a spirit of freedom to solve their own problems.

OUR APPROACH

We are ardently focused on the development of individual skills, so that the global population accepts responsibility for solving their own problems. We strictly adhere to this approach because we truly believe that this is the only way to create improvement and attain sustainable, systemic change for our world.

Whether the challenge is lifting families out of extreme poverty by reducing their financial dependency to achieve self-sufficiency or researching new options for patients to survive cancer with the highest quality of life, we conscientiously listen, learn, and consider how we can achieve the greatest impact with our grant funding program.

OUR FOCUS

Our work is organized in two entities – the Rising Tide Foundation (RTF) and the Rising Tide Foundation for Clinical Cancer Research (RTFCCR). Both are charitable, non-profit organizations established in 2010.

RTF has supported over 80 projects promoting freedom and empowering individuals. We achieve our impact through the collaboration with our partners on the ground. We work closely with not-for-profit organization, universities and think tanks.

RTFCCR  has also supported clinical cancer research in 48 institutions from 10 countries.  It has directly impacted over 7,500 patients with the support of strategic partners like the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK), The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Gateway for Cancer Research.  Each relationship has helped shape the landscape of cancer research and focus on bringing new treatment options to the bedside of patients.
